From New York to Lake Como: Crafting Marcus Ericsson’s Wedding Wardrobe

When Marcus Ericsson approached us to curate his wedding wardrobe for Lake Como, we knew this was about more than clothes. It was about capturing a feeling. We first met in New York, where we took his measurements and began discussing ideas. Marcus wanted a wardrobe that celebrated the Dolce Vita spirit while harmonizing with the scenic Italian backdrop.

That weekend in New York quickly turned into more than fittings. We spent nights out together, catching up with local friends and even doing a photoshoot with Marcus. It was also a great experience to learn more about Formula 1 and IndyCar from someone who has merits in both sports. We found it especially interesting to hear Marcus reflect on the similarities and parallels between high performance racing and high quality tailoring. Those conversations, combined with the time we shared, gave us an even clearer sense of his personality and vision: refined yet bold, timeless yet full of life.
For the daytime looks, we crafted two standout pieces: a bold peach and orange jacket in Loro Piana cloth and a green herringbone from Drago, both from iconic Italian mills. For a sunny outing on the lake, we imagined a rich full cream ensemble, bright, leisurely, and refined.
The centerpiece, of course, was the wedding tuxedo: a double breasted wool and mohair barathea designed to make Marcus feel like James Bond. The moment he put it on, we could see it had achieved exactly that.
But the experience did not end there. Sebastian and Robin from Cavour traveled from Norway to Sweden to meet Marcus’s best men. Over that weekend, they made sure every one of them looked perfect in our signature single breasted tuxedo, bringing a sense of unity and elegance to the entire wedding party.
From New York to Sweden, and finally to Lake Como, it was a privilege to guide Marcus through this sartorial journey, turning fabrics and fits into memories that matched the magic of the setting.
