Pitti Uomo: Florence, Friendship & Fine Tailoring

The first day of Pitti Uomo began in the most Florentine way imaginable, with breakfast from the legendary All’Antico Vinaio. A true institution in the city, their famous sandwiches provided the perfect start to what would become a memorable day of meetings, craftsmanship, and good company.
From there, we made our way across town on foot, taking in the atmosphere of Florence. Few cities combine history, beauty, and everyday life quite like this one. The winding streets, Renaissance architecture, and early summer light provided a fitting backdrop as we headed towards our first appointment.
We met up with our friend Andreas to hand over his made-to-measure suit, which had been commissioned during our Stockholm trunk show back in April. It was a pleasure to see the finished result and deliver it in person here in Florence.

Next, we sat down with Patrick and Douglas of Fox Brothers to discuss new developments and fine-tune the details of our upcoming Autumn Winter capsule collection. As always, their knowledge, heritage, and commitment to excellence make these meetings both productive and inspiring. Conducting business at the beautiful Hotel Sina Villa Medici certainly didn't hurt either. With the Tuscan sun overhead, it was difficult to resist a brief pause in the shade by the pool, accompanied by a cold beverage.
The afternoon took us down Via della Scala towards Piazza Santa Maria Novella, where we met Tomoko and Kenji of Tie Your Tie. Our purpose was straightforward: to place an order for a selection of handmade ties that exemplify the finest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Their dedication to traditional techniques continues to make them one of the most respected names in the world of neckwear.
Dinner followed at Trattoria Parione, a restaurant that has become something of a Pitti Uomo tradition for our team. Joined by our friends Rock, Andreas, and Gen, we were welcomed warmly by Imane, Marco, and Gianni, whose hospitality made the evening another memorable one for the books.
The day concluded with football. Norway was facing Iraq in the World Cup group game, and we joined a larger group of Norwegians for a private screening at La Giostra, another Florentine favourite. The result made for a perfect ending to an already exceptional day.
