Staff Favorites: Robin
Over the past few years, I've found myself gravitating more and more towards black in my wardrobe. Traditionally, black has been somewhat overlooked in classic menswear, often relegated to evening wear or associated with high fashion rather than day-to-day tailoring. While worsted wool suits in black may still evoke images of nightclub bouncers or private security, I’ve discovered a new appreciation for black fabrics with more texture and structure. Take, for instance, this hopsack Model 2 Jacket—a personal favorite. Its versatility is unmatched. I love pairing it with a crisp white shirt and grey trousers for a polished look, or even dressing it down with jeans and black knitwear for a more relaxed, yet sophisticated style.
For a seasonal suit, I find the navy flannel suit to be particularly indispensable. The weight and warmth of worsted flannel make it an ideal choice for a winter business suit, offering both practicality and style during the colder months. Yet, its versatility truly shines when dressed down for more casual occasions—especially when paired with knitwear. I'm especially fond of a tonal ensemble, often opting for a rollneck underneath for a sleek, contemporary look.

Not only does it provide the warmth needed to brave the cold, but it also brings a relaxed, effortless sophistication to any outfit. And, I’ll admit, there are mornings when the thought of ironing just isn’t appealing. Knitwear, with its natural ease and elegance, is a welcome solution—perfect for staying warm without compromising on style.
