On the Monday before the opening of Pitti Uomo, Cavour had the pleasure of hosting a golf event at the beautiful La Pavoniere Golf & Country Club, located just outside Florence. Organized in collaboration with Rock Liu and his team at Rockwell Agenturen, the gathering brought together a wonderful mix of old friends and new acquaintances for a relaxed day in the Tuscan countryside before the excitement of the week ahead.

A Course Worth the Journey
Designed by legendary golf architect Arnold Palmer, La Pavoniere is one of Tuscany's premier golf destinations. Set among rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, the club offers an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for a day of sport and fellowship.
Swings, Putts & Cold Beers
The day began with a warm welcome at the club, followed by a session on the driving range where participants had the opportunity to warm up and receive instruction from a golf professional. Since not everyone in the group was an avid golfer, we divided into two groups. One headed out onto the course to enjoy 9 holes in the Tuscan sunshine, while the other remained at the driving range, enjoying cold beers, practicing their swings, and eventually competing in a spirited putting contest.

Afternoon Retreat
With temperatures climbing well above 30°C, the afternoon called for some well-earned relief. After the competitions concluded, we made our way to the pool area to cool down and relax. Golf under the Tuscan summer sun is rewarding, but certainly demanding.
As the afternoon eased into evening, our friend Luke from EGM Cigars in London presented a carefully selected range of fine cigars, allowing guests to unwind and enjoy another of life's great pleasures before preparing for dinner.

Florentine Evening
The evening concluded with an open-air dinner under the Tuscan sky. Guests were treated to a menu featuring classic Florentine cuisine, celebrating the region's rich culinary traditions. Between courses, prizes were awarded to the winners of the day's various competitions, adding a festive touch to an already memorable occasion.
